It’s Friday, Friday, Gonna Get Down on Friday.

    Today started off…. that’s it.  I was supposed to shoot some photos of the Bearcats doing their Spring training but it turns out they were off today.  This means I have some time to tell you about the upcoming weekend.  But first, here are those soccer pics I took the other night.

    UC ended up losing to the Dayton Dutch Lions.  I’m not much of a sports guy but since I’ve been going to the games lately I do feel a little attached to our teams.  This sucks because it’s been a bad week for us.  We lost 3 out of 3 games in Baseball against USF, women’s Tennis lost to Xavier and now this.  Maybe I’m a bad luck photographer.  If this is the case I’ll make sure to point at the other team from now on.

     Ok so back to today.  As I said, my morning got off to a rocky start, but soon I’ll be heading out to meet a friend from DAAP.  She’s also a photographer so I’m really excited to see what she’s been up to.  It should be fun. 

     But the real excitement is tonight.  My friends over in UC’s drama group, DAFT, are performing Peter Pan tonight!  I’ve been asked to film it so if any of you readers out there are in the area, you might be able to sneak in tonight.  It’s a free show but you ought to reserve tickets.  They’re sold out for tonight’s show but I heard you still might be able to get in.  There is also a show tomorrow night as well.  Here’s some more info: http://www.facebook.com/events/418021248212770/

     In short, it’s going to be an awesome show.  I don’t think I’ll be posting up the performance itself but if the DAFT people want to host it somewhere, I’ll link it here.  But I’ll let you know how it goes tonight. 

     Lastly, as far as I know, I’ll be shooting the Bearcat Bowl tomorrow, that is, if they show up.  Should be a good mash-up of the game itself but also the fan fest.  We’ll see how that goes. 

     Busy weekend but it ought to be a lot of fun too.  I’ll be talking to you all soon.  Have a good weekend folks!
